Dawn Clarkson
It’s that time of year again and I find myself hunting everywhere for butterfly designs.

I collect butterfly designs to help raise awareness for the auto-immune disease LUPUS. Raising awareness is very important for two reasons: not only does it help people who already suffer from the disease who are trying hard to lead a normal life, but it is also important for people who are ill and have not yet received a diagnosis. Lupus is very hard to diagnose and can cause irreparable damage. Therefore, if Lupus is what you have, you need to know as soon as possible.

The challenge is to create butterfly art of any kind the only restriction being that it be original and your own work. Anyone can participate by sending a sketch, illustration, painting, pattern, collage or basically anything that uses butterflies as a theme. There are no age limits, but only one piece is permitted per person.

Simply by sending me a butterfly design you are helping to raise awareness. There will be a special place for your butterfly in my 2018 showcase which goes live on this website on World Lupus Day, 10th May. I make a small donation for every design received.

Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon.
